Maya Psychiatry & Psychotherapy

At Maya Psychiatry & Psychotherapy, the process of assessment and treatment is conducted in accordance with established scientific and theoretical foundations. Psychiatric evaluation, pharmacotherapy and psychotherapy are structured within an ethical and scientific framework, with due consideration given to the needs of each individual.

The objective of treatment is not confined to the reduction of symptoms. The process is approached holistically, with the aim of strengthening the individual’s psychological structure, enhancing functioning and supporting a sustained state of mental well-being.

Pharmacotherapy is an effective, evidence-based treatment modality that targets the biological dimension of psychiatric disorders. Where it is deemed necessary on the basis of clinical assessment, it is planned in accordance with the nature of the disorder and the characteristics of the individual, and is maintained under regular monitoring.

Although psychotherapy constitutes a setting in which current difficulties are addressed, it may also be regarded as a process that accompanies self-understanding, supports emotional development and, through enhanced cognitive flexibility, enables new perspectives to be developed.

At Maya, the aim is not only for psychological symptoms to be accurately assessed from a clinical perspective and addressed through evidence-based treatment methods, but also for the individual’s psychological structure to be strengthened within a holistic framework. The integration of the diagnostic clarity of the psychiatric approach with the in-depth work of psychotherapy is intended to support a sustained state of well-being that respects the natural rhythm of change, within a secure setting characterised by intellectual depth.
